<p>Ensure that your team is clear about goals. As a coach, just like keeping the score of a game, your team wants to know whether they’re winning.  What are the important real-time numbers for your team to know at all times? </p>

<p>Know where you want to work. Do you want to work in a large office, work for a small business, interact with people or machines, sit at a desk all day or be out and about? Ask yourself questions about the environment that makes you happy and once you’ve answered those questions, go find the companies that offer those environments. This may be the hardest part for most job seekers. You don’t have to stick to the industry you came from either – just find the companies whose environments you can thrive in. </p>
<p>Write an interesting CV. Most people don’t really know what the purpose of a CV is and how to build one. Your CV has only one purpose: to get you an interview. Your CV can’t truly show you off or tell your life story, so only put the details that will show the employer benefits and get you the interview. Show benefits that people can relate to, not roles and responsibilities that people must interpret. If you are not getting interviews then your CV does not match the job description. </p>
<p>Improve your interview skills. Interviewing is often the most stressful part of a job search. You are already a strong contender for the job if you receive a phone call. Be likable, polite, interested and interesting. You need to devote your energy to preparing for the questions recruiters are likely to ask and be prepared to sell yourself in a great light.</p>
<p>Become an active player on LinkedIn. These days, whether you&#8217;re working or looking for a job, you can&#8217;t afford not to use LinkedIn. It&#8217;s the single most important professional networking site on the Internet. Once you&#8217;ve created a Linkedin Profile to promote your &#8220;personal brand&#8221; and set up your network, mine that network to find connections that will assist you in your job search.</p>
<p>Be passionate. Be enthusiastic about your next job and it will be very hard for a prospective employer to not hire you. Think about it: do you want to work with someone who loves their job or is there just to get paid? Do you want to work with someone who is excited about their role or someone who resents it? The answer is obvious yet so few people infuse this energy into what they’re doing. </p>
<p>Compete aggressively. This applies to every stage of your job search. Often, it’s about being proactive and investigating local companies to understand their hiring needs. More than anything else, competing means being willing to put in the extra time on preparation and follow up.</p>
<p>Make yourself appealing. If you don’t have qualifications, skills or anything that makes you stand out, start working on them, take a night class, learn Mandarin, show that you want to grow as a professional.</p>

<p>GLASGOW, April 2013 – G10 Global announced the start of their spring staff recruitment drive a month ago and have been amazed by the outcome so far.<strong></strong></p>
<p>News of improvements to the in-house training program came at the same time the company started advertising new openings at their headquarters in Glasgow. Initially G10 Global are looking to recruit staff to work on current marketing campaigns and then in time they are looking to fast-track individuals to supervisory and management roles.</p>
<p>&#8220;When we established the new client base at our Glasgow operation, we had a few concerns about our ability to recruit a world-class team to our office,&#8221; commented CEO George Kennedy. &#8220;This month we have put all doubts to rest with the successful recruitment of some the most experienced and talented staff we’ve seen in years”.</p>

<p>GLASGOW, April 2013 – This week sees a great success for G10 Global Owner George Kennedy as he buys his dream Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder.</p>
<p>The direct sales and marketing industry can be one of the toughest. However starting at the ground level and working your way up can be one of the most rewarding achievements, through all of the scepticism and negativity George Kennedy has worked his way up for the best part of 8 years.</p>
<p>Starting in the film industry can see you in a runner’s position, the restaurant world can see you as a pot washer, the fashion business can see you as an intern’s assistant, the sales and marketing arena should put you at the bottom of the chain, selling products and learning the skills on the street. This is exactly where Kennedy started.</p>
<p>Going to an interview and hearing that if you work hard you could get promoted to management once you learn fundamental sales skills and advanced leadership skills sounds too good to be true, and for most, it is. There are a few people out there however who no matter how many negatives they come across, stick with it.</p>
<p>“I am humbled by my beginnings, I used to work for a well-known dairy where I climbed the ranks, and then I started looking to see how else I could develop myself. Some people think we are nuts in this industry but I work with honest, hard-working people who deserve to get their dreams,” comments Kennedy. “Providing for my family has always been my top priority, material possessions were far down on my list but now I’m in a position where I can drive one of my dream cars and at the end of the day I am just so thankful to all the people who helped me along the way.”</p>

<p><strong>G10 Global Report Improved First Quarter Results</strong></p>
<p>GLASGOW, April, 2013 – Today G10 Global announced preliminary financial results for its first quarter of year 2013.</p>
<p>For the quarter, G10 Global reported an increase of 4.3 percent over the first quarter of 2012. “We are pleased with these results for the quarter, despite the obviously challenging environment,” said G10 Global’s Chief Executive Officer, George Kennedy.</p>

<p>G10 Global Thriving As Retail Sales Continue To Fall Short</p>
<p>GLASGOW, March 2013 – While Direct Sales &amp; Marketing specialists G10 Global produce positive sales results, recent figures show Scottish retail footfall in February well below UK average at -2.5% against an increase of 0.8% for rest of UK.</p>
<p>The low footfall rates for Scotland in February are a reflection of low levels of consumer confidence and lower levels of sales growth as the economic and trading environment remains fragile. Scottish retailers will be hoping that the arrival of spring and seasonal lifts from Mother&#8217;s Day and Easter help to elevate this underwhelming figure into more positive territory in the coming months.</p>
<p>Commenting on the latest footfall figures, a Scottish Government spokesman said: &#8220;The Scottish Government wants to see thriving town centres and we are doing all we can to support the retail sector. We are introducing measures such as our Fresh Start scheme to bring empty properties back into use and our Town Centre Review is tackling some of the longstanding issues by working with local councils to put the life back into our high streets.”</p>
<p>George Kennedy, G10 Global’s Managing Director, has commented that the ability to keeps costs low and a steady increase in sales is what has enabled the company to flourish and why, in his eyes, more and more brands around the UK are exploring the avenue of direct sales as a way of increasing profits with little or no financial risk involved. “Direct Marketing offers a guaranteed return on any investment and in the current economic climate that is what brands need – more customers without having to take a risk.”</p>
<p>As a business mentor himself, Kennedy has often spoken of his support for recent government programs and funding aimed at encouraging young entrepreneurs to start their own business. “For me this industry is one that anyone looking for a long-term career and stability should look into,” said Kennedy. “The fragility of the retail industry shows that consumer behaviour is fluctuating and so brands must find more creative ways of approaching their customers. That’s where we come in.”</p>

<p>G10 Global Announce Launch Spring Recruitment Drive</p>
<p>GLASGOW, March 2013 – G10 Global has announced a spring staff recruitment drive for the company.</p>
<p>The new openings will be for the company’s headquarters in Glasgow.</p>
<p>The company is initially looking to recruit staff to work on current marketing campaigns, as they build to maximise capacity.</p>
<p>George Kennedy, director of G10 Global, said, ‘Our 2013 goals are currently well underway and we are now in a position to begin a fresh recruitment drive.</p>
<p>Initially we are looking to for a number of representatives who will be responsible for promoting our clients services and products and then we will be looking to fast-track individuals to supervisory and management roles.’</p>
<p>Along with the recruitment announcement came news of improvements to the in-house training program.</p>
<p>The company intends to increase in size, with the current phase of development building the foundation for imminent growth.</p>
